Race Info

What is the Burpee Biathlon™?

The Burpee Biathlon™ is a unique fusion of strength training and endurance that challenges athletes in a whole new way! This event was created by Renov8 Fitness founder, Heather Binns, as a combination of her love of running with her “love” of burpees 😉

How does the Burpee Biathlon™ work?

Run + Burpees + Repeat! Based upon the level you choose, you walk and/or run a specified distance followed by completing a set number of burpees (modified exercise available) & then repeat that process for a specific number of rounds!

  • BB Mile: Run/Walk 1/2 mile + 30 burpees x 2 rounds (60 burpees & 1 mile total)
  • BB 3-Mile: Run/Walk 1/2 mile + 30 burpees x 6 rounds (180 burpees & 3 miles total)
  • BB 5-Mile: Run/Walk 1/2 mile + 30 burpees x 10 rounds (300 burpees & 5 miles total)
  • Modified BB: Walk 1/2 mile + 15 elevated squat thrusts x 2 rounds (30 squat thrusts & 1 mile total)
When is the Burpee Biathlon™?

Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 8:00am PST or virtually worldwide  between September 4th and September 10th, 2023.

What is a burpee?

The burpee, a full-body exercise, is the cornerstone of the Burpee Biathlon™. Let’s break it down. Start in a standing position, then drop down into a squat, kick your legs back, perform a push-up, return to a squat, and finally, jump explosively. Burpees engage multiple muscle groups, including the legs, core, chest, shoulders, and arms. View a burpee video HERE.

Where is the Burpee Biathlon™?

A local park nearby Renov8 Fitness in North Hollywood, CA (exact address will be sent to all registered participants) or virtually worldwide in your own location.
